Smokeberry

Our Nocino is especially smoky, making it a natural pairing for mezcal.  A little summer blackberry syrup ties the two together. 

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Combine the mezcal, Nocino, and syrup in a shaker over ice.  Stir to combine. 
  2. Strain into a Nick & Nora glass and garnish with the lavender sprigs.
For the blackberry syrup: combine 1 cup blackberries with 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water.  Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.  Cook for 15 minutes.  Strain through a mesh sieve to remove seeds and solids.  Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
