Aperitifs, Bitters, Veggie CSA
Artemisia is a farm and micro-winery in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. We grow vegetables and we make wine. Our home-delivery CSA is available throughout northern Virginia & DC. We make our wines and cocktail bitters from sustainable fermentables and plants native to the mid-Atlantic.

Aura Dry Vermouth
This is Aura. Our first dry vermouth. It’s called Aura because there’s something intangible about this vermouth.
Infused with dandelion blossom, wormwood, thyme, and oregano, it speaks but barely touches. Shrouds but does not oppress.
It glows, glows like the first drop of sun on the horizon, like the first wink of a star at dusk.
This initial release is a pilot, with more to come later. If you’d like to pre-order a bottle, check out our website. Bottles hit the wild in a few weeks.
EXPANDING MID-ATLANTIC WINEMAKING
Aperitifs
Vermouth, vino amaro, aperitivo — aromatized wine has many names and faces. The essence is the form: a wine lightly fortified with brandy and infused with bitter and aromatic botanicals.
Our goal is to maximalize terroir beyond the grapes themselves using plants that reflect this place, to make aperitifs rooted to the American Mid-Atlantic.

CRAFT INTENTIONAL COCKTAILS
Bitters
Using native botanicals, we capture the subtleties of our landscape, blending the medicinal and the artisanal into an embodied experience.
Our bitters are about intention. Using plants native to our region, we create a more sustainable cocktail narrative.
