Flu season and Manhattan season fall around the same time. Fortify your health while enjoying the good life by meeting the two halfway. A little elderberry syrup is excuse enough to make yourself a cocktail any time you start to feel the sniffles.
Ingredients
- 1 oz bourbon
- 1 oz rye whiskey
- ¾ oz sweet vermouth
- ½ oz Wild Roots Black Elderberry Syrup
- 2 dashes Artemisia Junio Bitters
- Pickled Fig, for garnish
Preparation
- In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the rye whiskey, bourbon, vermouth, elderberry syrup, and bitters. Stir until well chilled, about 30 seconds.
- Strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with the pickled fig.
