Northern Pal

A cider-based take on an Old Pal.  Eden "Bitter" Aperitif stands in for the traditional Campari, and a pickled fig for the lemon rind.  A classic cocktail with a less refined edge. 

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Combine the rye, Orleans Bitter, and vermouth in a cocktail shaker over ice.  Stir until chilled and strain into a coupe class.  
  2. Garnish with a speared pickled fig.
