Birthday Cake
We concocted this delightful cocktail for Kelly's late December birthday. As its name suggests, it tastes like the archetypical childhood birthday cake. Something magical happens between Ciccio e Figli's Ambrosia and our Salt & Sorghum bitters. Like all birthday treats, you'll have to try it to find out.
Ingredients
- 2 oz Don Ciccio e Figli Ambrosia Aperitivo
- ¾ oz Barr Hill Gin
- ⅛ oz Tres Castillos Anis Fino Escarchado (Pastis also works well)
- 5-6 dashes Artemisia Salt & Sorghum Bitters
- 1 egg white
Preparation
- Combine the Ambrosia, gin, Anis Fino/Pastis, bitters, and egg white in a shaker without ice. Shake hard for about 30 seconds.
- Add ice to the shaker and shake for another 30 seconds or so. Strain into a coupe glass. No garnish needed.
