The margarita is a hard act to follow. When fresh citrus is in season, this recipe is a good reason to branch out. Fresh orange juice stands in for the more typical orange liqueur, while a healthy dose of amaretto softens everything right up.
Ingredients
- 2 oz fresh orange juice
- 1¼ oz fresh lemon juice
- 1½ oz Amaretto
- 1½ oz Tequila Joven
Preparation
- Rim a rocks glass with salt.
- Combine the orange juice, lemon juice, Amaretto, and tequila in a shaker over ice. Shake until well-chilled, then double strain into the rocks glass over ice.
