CSA Basic - What's Included
A weekly box of vegetables and occasional fruit (typically 6-8 items). Each box is intended to be enough for 3-5 people for one week.
A typical CSA Box may LOOK LIKE:
- SPRING: sugar snap peas, salad greens, spring garlic, beets, radishes, lettuce, nasturtiums, strawberries.
- SUMMER: eggplant, peppers, melons, rainbow chard, garlic scapes, tomatoes, zucchini, peaches.
- AUTUMN: butternut squash, beets, sweet potatoes, tomatillos, hot peppers, pears, kale, baby arugula.
- WINTER: celeriac, potatoes, cabbage, parsnips, mushrooms, onions, citrus, apples, baby spinach.
These are just a few examples of what you may receive, but the full seasons have so much variety. In addition to commonly cultivated vegetables and fruits, we occasionally include native crops (such as dandelion, nettles, chickweed, or wild berries).
