Thistle Hot Toddy
Infused with vino amari and hot apple cider, this is a grown-up alternative to the overly saccharin, covertly boozy mulled wines of the world. Batch this cocktail for a crowd by scaling the recipe as needed and holding, covered, at very low heat. A crock pot is a stellar option for this.
Ingredients:
- 1½ ounces bourbon
- ½ ounce Artemisia Thistle
- ½ Atxa Vermut Rojo
- 3 ounces apple cider (preferably unfiltered)
- a pinch each of cinnamon, ginger, and cloves (optional)
Preparation

Combine the bourbon, Thistle, vermouth, apple cider, and spices (if using) in a small saucepan and warm over medium heat, stirring.

Serve in small mugs with an additional sprinkle of cinnamon.
