Despite their name, we find sours to more often than not be overly sweet. In this version, we draw out the illusion of sweetness while letting the bitter character of our Thistle botanical wine shine through.
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces Artemisia Thistle
- ¾ ounces bourbon
- 1 ounce lemon juice
- 1 egg white
- ¾ ounce Falling Bark Hickory Syrup
Preparation

Combine the Thistle, bourbon, lemon juice, egg white, and syrup in a shaker without ice and dry-shake (shake without ice) for 15 seconds.
- Add ice and shake again until well-chilled.
- Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice. Serve unadorned, as the most striking flowers are.
