Mesa Atla

Mesa Atla

Mesa Alta refers to the towering plateaus of the high desert.  A little heat from Ancho Reyes Verde coupled with the lean, citrusy profile of Mommenpop Seville Orange Aperitif makes for a novel take on what can charitably be called a margarita.

But, why be concerned with labels?  The sky's the limit, just like your creativity.

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Combine the Mommenpop, lime juice, simple syrup, Ancho Reyes, and sumac bitters in a cocktail shaker over ice and stir to combine.
  2. Coat the rim of a rocks glass with salt and fill with ice.  Strain the shaker into the glass and garnish with a lime wedge.
