Seville Oranges have a brief growing season and are only available in California for a few short weeks. This is a rare capture of local citrus. Pleasantly sweet and delightfully tangy, Sevilles are prized for their peels, which are rich in aromatic oils. While most often used to make marmalade, here they make a vibrant aperitif for the bar. Perfect on its own, in a spritz, or in a variety of classic cocktails.
About Mommenpop
About Mommenpop
Samantha has been making rosé, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Meunier, and Cabernet under the brands Poe Wines and Ultraviolet Wines for 10 years. In 2017, Sam was on a spritz kick - drinking Campari and Aperol spritzes almost daily over the course of a particularly hot summer. She developed Mommenpop as a less-sweet, dye-free alternative to aperitifs that she loves. Mommenpop ended up in Wine & Spirits Magazine later that same year as one of their “Top New Spirits of 2017,” so she decided to make a commercial production. She continues to make Mommenpop in Napa, with the same artisanal mindset as though she were making it for friends and family.
