Our Equinox Sweet Potato Gentiane brings breadth and richness to the classic hot toddy. Combined with oloroso sherry and an honeyed pear syrup, it makes for a comforting brew on chilly days. This is easily batched for a crowd, and can be kept warm indefinitely in a crockpot or large, covered pot set over low heat.
- 1 oz Artemisia Equinox Sweet Potato Gentiane
- 2 oz J.T. Copper Leaves of Gold Syrup, or 2:1 honey syrup
- 3 oz La Cigarerra Oloroso
- ½ oz Cointreau
- 2 oz water
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Lemon rind, for garnish
Combine the Equinox, oloroso, syrup, cointreau, water, and lemon juice in a saucepan. Heat until steaming but not boiling.
- Pour into a heat-safe mug and drop the lemon rind in. Enjoy hot.
