Think sweet potatoes are just for autumn? Think again. They're a natural pairing with tequila and grapefruit juice. We use Mommenpop Makrut Limepop to complete the picture, but a blend of fresh lime juice and simple syrup would work just as well in a pinch.
Ingredients
- 2 oz Espolòn Tequila Blanco
- 1½ oz fresh grapefruit juice
- 1¼ oz Artemisia Equinox Sweet Potato Gentiane
- 1¼ oz Mommenpop Makrut Limepop, or a blend of fresh lime juice and simple syrup
- Salt (we prefer J.Q. Dickinson)
Preparation
- Dip the lip of a rocks glass into a shallow dish of water. Follow with a dip into a shallow dish of salt. Drop a block of ice into the glass and set aside.
- In a shaker over ice, combine the tequila, grapefruit juice, Equinox, and Limepop. Shake until very cold.
- Strain into the prepared glass. Serve with lime wedges on the side, if desired.
