Spice Box
Kelly AllenAutumn in a glass. We built this cocktail in the midst of bottling our section batch of Equinox. We wanted to showcase its spice and intensity while softening its edges a bit. Consider this a stretched out version of Equinox. Spicier, gentler, and all-purpose friendly.
Ingredients
- 1½ oz Barbancourt Reserve Speciale Rhum
- ½ oz Artemisia Equinox Sweet Potato Gentiane
- ½ oz H&H Rainwater 3-Year Madeira
- ½ oz Crescent Simples Apple Spice Syrup
- Orange rind, as garnish
Preparation
- Combine the rum, Equinox, madeira, syrup, and allspice dram in a shaker over ice. Stir until well-chilled.
- Strain into a rocks glass over ice. Garnish with orange rind.
