Equinox Sweet Potato Gentiane finds an elegant kind of synergy with floral Luxardo liqueur. Rye lifts and sharpens the duo, while a little saline solution keeps everything feeling edgy.
Ingredients
- 1 oz rye whiskey
- ¾ oz Artemisia Equinox Sweet Potato Gentiane
- ¾ oz Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur
- ½ oz Antica Torino Vermouth Rosso
- 1 dash saline solution (recipe below)
- Orange rind, for garnish
Preparation
- Combine the rye, Equinox, Luxardo, vermouth, and the saline solution in a shaker over ice. Stir to combine. Strain into a Nick and Nora glass. Garnish with the orange rind.
Saline solution: combine 20g of salt and 2½ oz of water in a jar. Seal and shake until the mixture is clear and the salt is fully dissolved. Transfer to a dropper bottle.
