The humid days of summer call for light, airy cocktails. Too much alcohol or sugar sit heavily when temperatures rise. Better to sip something light and refreshing with just enough spunk to take lacquer the moment rather than muddle the heat with even more intensity.
Ingredients
- 1½ ounce Honey & Hops Summertime Session #5 Raspberry Mead
- 1½ ounce kimoto junmai sake
- ½ ounce extra dry vermouth (we used Cocchi)
- ½ ounce yuzu juice
- 2 dashes Artemisia Karela Bitters
- Basil leaf, for garnish
Preparation
- Add all ingredients (except for the basil leaf) into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously.
- Strain into a martini glass or coupe and garnish with the basil leaf.
