Artemisia Farm & Vineyard

Winter CSA 2024

Weekly seasonal produce

The winter CSA is a smaller, simpler version of our standard CSA.  The focus is on salads, hardy greens, roots, and fruits that keep through the cooler months.  Rustic and hearty, the winter CSA combines winter produce from our farm with that of other nearby farms for a truly local taste of the season.

On any given week, you might find young greens and beets from our farm, apples from the orchard down the road, and sweet potatoes from friends not far.  Our winter CSA is an opportunity to support local farms through the months when they need it most.

The Winter CSA runs from Jan 7th - April 9th, 2024.

What to Expect

  • Each week, you’ll receive a box of mostly vegetables and occasional fruit, typically enough for 2-4 people for one week.  Each box includes 5-6 varieties of produce.

A typical winter share may include:

      • A bulky root (potatoes, sweet potatoes, rutabaga, celeriac)
      • A lighter root (radishes, parsnips, beets, turnips)
      • An allium (onions, garlic)
      • Salad greens (grown indoors: baby greens, pea shoots, sunflower shoots)
      • Overwintered specialties (winter squash, apples, etc.)

    • A weekly newsletter email with the week's items, recipe ideas, & more which goes out on the Friday before your share arrives so you can plan your week accordingly

    • Option to skip any week for any reason or to donate your share to The People's CSAthe 501(c)3 non-profit created by Kelly & Andrew to help bring access to fresh veggies to those in need

    • Add-Ons (like eggs, cheeses, wine, and more) for purchase each week through our Marketplace

    • Free access to our online Recipe Box

    The Home Delivery Experience

We deliver to your home each week on your delivery day.
On the morning of your delivery, we will notify you by email with your delivery window. This page is updated throughout the day, so if we get delayed in traffic or something else, the page will be up-to-date, including how many stops away we are to you.
In order to keep your produce fresh, we ask that you have a cooler with frozen ice packs ready on your porch, garage, or other accessible location.
We recommend that you move fresh produce into refrigeration within one hour of delivery.
For most orders, you don't have to be home for us to deliver: just set out your cooler and we'll fill it.  While we maintain no-contact delivery, you must legally be present if your delivery includes alcohol.
