Mesa Verde Martinez
Kelly AllenThis cocktail honors our national parks and the women who make them possible. Colorado's Mesa Verde National Park was spearheaded by two women: Virginia McClurg and Lucy Peabody. It's also called "The Women's Park" thanks to their efforts to protect the space.
Ingredients
- 1½ Madre Mezcal Espadin
- ¾ oz Artemisia Soslstice Vermouth
- ½ oz Artemisia Thistle
- ¼ oz Tres Castillos Anis Fino Escarchado (anisette)
- 2 dashes Bittermens Burlesque Bitters
- Orange rind, for garnish
Preparation
- Combine the mezcal, Solstice vermouth, Thistle, anisette, and bitters in a shaker over ice. Stir until very cold.
- Strain into a pre-chilled coupe glass and garnish with the orange rind.
