Los Amantes means the "The Lovers" in Spanish. It also happens to be a brand of a mezcal that we particularly enjoy. We couldn't let the opportunity to use it in a Valentine's Day spritzer pass us by. The cocktail itself is its namesake.
Ingredients
- ½ oz fresh lime juice
- ½ oz simple syrup
- ½ oz G.E. Massenez Creme de Cassis de Dijon
- 1 oz Los Amantes Mezcal Joven
- 3 oz sparkling wine, preferably dry
- Lemon rind, for garnish
Preparation
- In a shaker over ice, combine the lime juice, simple syrup, crème de cassis, and mezcal. Shake well until quite cold and strain into a champagne flute.
- Top off with sparkling wine and garnish with the lemon rind.
