Chrysanthemum

The Chrysanthemum is a century-old classic spin on the martini.  Dry vermouth takes the lead, while a little Benedictine and absinthe do the heavy lifting in the background.  A lower-ABV option for afternoon aperitifs or an especially fun brunch. 

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Combine the dry vermouth, Benedictine, and absinthe in a shaker over ice.  Stir until well-chilled.  
  2. Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with the orange rind.
