In Greek myth, Eris, the goddess of discord, was furious at having not been invited to the wedding of Thetis and Peleus. In revenge, she threw an apple (some say it was golden, others that it was inscribed with the words "to the fairest") into the wedding crowd. In their vanity, the guests clamored to claim the apple for themselves, causing mayhem and ruining the event.
With its golden base of unfiltered apple wine, Trabanco's 'Alma' Quinquina is certainly fit for the fairest amongst us. Feel free to keep it all to yourself.
Ingredients
- 1½ oz Alma de Trabanco Quinquina en Rama
- 1¼ oz Laird's Old Apple Brandy
- ½ oz St. Germaine Elderflower Liqueur
- Lemon rind
Preparation
- Combine the Alma, brandy, and St. Germaine in a shaker over ice and stir until very cold.
- Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice and garnish with the lemon rind.
