The Aperol Spritz is a classic Italian addition to the bar. Too often, the Aperol cannon overshadows the true potential of the spritz. With such a vast genre of bittersweet carmine liqueurs at hand, we thought it best to illustrate just how flexible the traditional Aperol Spritz can be.
In this case, we subbed in Cappelletti's Aperitivo Americano Rosso, lovingly referred to as "Il Specialino" by the locals. Less sweet and more nuanced than the Aperol take, this is our go-to spritz when temperatures outside begin to rise.
Ingredients
- 6 oz Terre Di Marca Prosecco 2022
- 2 oz Cappelletti Aperitivo Americano Rosso "Il Specialino"
- half an orange (on the smaller side)
- ice
Preparation

Fill a very large, opulent wine glass with plenty of ice.

Add the Prosecco, followed by the Cappelletti Aperitivo Rosso.

Stir briefly. Garnish with the orange by giving it a squeeze and dropping it in the glass for full effect.
