Fresh strawberries need little adornment. Orange-scented whipped cream, stabilized with a little sour cream, and a few sprigs of fresh mint are more than enough.
Ingredients
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup sour cream
- 4 tbsp powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp Cointreau, plus more for serving
- 1 quart strawberries, quartered
- Fresh spearmint, for serving
Preparation
- In a large, wide bowl, whip the cream until it holds soft peaks. Whip in the powdered sugar. Gently fold in the sour cream and the Cointreau.
- Carefully portion the cream into coupe glasses or ramekins. Arrange the berries in the center. Drizzle with a little extra Cointreau and garnish with the spearmint. Best served while still cool.
