Classic Burger

Classic Burger

Classic simplicity.  Garlic scapes add fresh, mellow garlic flavor, while parsley keeps everything fresh and balanced.  A perfect patty for the grill.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic scapes (or cloves)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp celery seed
  • ½ tsp dill
  • ¾ tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • salt to taste

Preparation

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Add all ingredients to a large bowl and mix by hand.  Make sure to incorporate all the herbs & spices evenly throughout the beef.
  3. Separate into four equal sections and then form into patties.  We recommend getting these patties pretty thin and wide as they will condense on the heat of the grill.
  4. Grill for 2-4 minutes per side (2 minutes should yield about medium, and 4 yield well done).
  5. Remove the burgers promptly from the grill, and let stand for 2-3 minutes before serving.
