There is a heuristic attributed to the 14th century Franciscan Friar and philosopher William of Ockaham. The heuristic is called lex parsimoniae (law of parsimony): given that all things are equal, the simplest answer tends to be the correct answer. Lex parsimoniae is better known today as Occam’s Razor, and speaks to the nature of this wine. Sometimes, a simple, elegant blend is the best answer.

About Rasa

Rasa is a collaboration between two brothers, Billo and Pinto. Both are trained scientists, motivated by their love of wine and creative expression. Their winery is based out of the dry expanse that is Walla Walla, and their focus is crafting two separate collections of Bordeaux and Loire-inspired wines. They rely on native yeast for their inoculations, augmenting their presses with careful whole cluster inclusion. The resulting wines are arguably some of the best that Washington has to offer.
