Early Mountain's young red is a blend of two hybrid grapes: chambourcin and vidal. Both are disease-resistant standards in Virginian viticulture, and together they make for a light-bodied, springy wine with plenty of versatility. Its fruit-forward profile and gentle tannins make this wine akin to a young gamay. Try serving this at cellar temperature with grilled duck or roasted eggplant, or try chilling it slightly and pairing it with soft goat cheese.
