Pasubio is a true taste of the Dolomites of Trentino. Indeed, it takes its name from a portion of the mountain range itself. One of the earliest Italian aromatized wines, Pasubio is genre of vini-amari, or wine-based amaro. It follows tradition with its botanical infusion based in Marsala rather than spirits. The botanical blend is one of northern blueberries, pine, and bitter alpine herbs.
Pasubio is one of the many expressions of Antica Erboristeria Cappelletti. First established in 1909, Giuseppe made a name for himself in the historic Piazza Fiera in the center of Trento. Today the company is located 20 km south of Trento in Aldeno, surrounded by vineyards and apple orchards. The firm was and is still today focused on products from traditional herbs, roots and flowers.
The original Pasubio recipe dates back to the early 20th century, making it one of the earliest recorded Erboristeria’s amari.
