Partida Crues' CX 2021 vintage is made with Cartoixà Vermell, otherwise known as Xarel·lo Rosado. A pale, red variety native to Catalonia, Cartoixà Vermell has an unusual flavor profile landing somewhere between a red wine and a rosé. Citrus fruits lead on the palate. Think grapefruit and mandarin. A hint of apricot comes in at the close, followed by textural and broad, if delicate, tannin.

About Partida Creus
Winemaking team Massimo and Antonella are originally from Italy. Train architects, they designed and built their winery themselves. Around 2000, they moved outside Barcelona. A small vineyard came along with the piece of land they bought and they started to make wine just for themselves. They made everything as naturally as possible, with minimal intervention or SO2. As they came to know the local wine culture, they began learning about Spain's many underrepresented native grapes. They made it their mission to preserve indigenous grape varieties, seeking out abandoned parcels or otherwise replanting newer vineyards themselves. Gradually, they started producing wine commercially. All the while, they stayed true to their dedication to natural winemaking, vinifying without any additives or filtration.
