Mattei Cap Corse Quinquina Rouge

Mattei infuses their quinquina rouge with a variety of spices, including cedrat, walnut, and cinchona bark.  The base wine here is a blend of Corsican Muscat and Vermentino mistelle, fortified with brandy for stability.  Cap Corse Rouge is traditionally served neat or on ice with tonic or soda, garnished with citrus peel. It pairs nicely with rye whiskey, especially so in a Boulevardier.
