Idlewild "The Bee" Flora & Fauna White Blend 2022

An intensely phenolic blend of Piemontese varieties.  The 2022 vintage leads with orange blossom, lemon rind, and wet stone, rendering it both powerfully aromatic yet textured enough to pair widely with food. 

Winemaker Sam's Flora and Fauna line pays homage to the the collection of plant and animal life in this time and place.  It's another way of casting the idea of terroir, expanding the lens beyond soil and weather to encompass the whole of the local ecosystem.
