A traditional Italian Spumante made from 100% estate-grown Ribolla Gialla. Native to the Friuli Venezia Giulia region of northeast Italy, Ribolla Gialla is known for its bright acidity and heady, floral nose. Colutta's vineyards, in particular, have a high mineral content in their soil, leading to exceptionally expressive structure in their wines.
Best served well-chilled, alongside salmon, trout, tinned sardines, or simply crusty bread with soft, creamy cheeses.
About Giorgio Colutta
About Giorgio Colutta
The Colutta – ‘Bandut’ wine estate was bought by Antonio Colutta in 1939. His grandchild, Giorgio, third generation, shares his grandfather’s enthusiasm for both the winery and the vineyard. Located between Buttrio, Manzano and Rosazzo in the prestigious Colli Orientali del Friuli vineyards and wine area, also known as “Parco della vite e del vino”, the Colutta vineyards cover 23 hectares. They cultivate both native and international grape varieties, all sustainably. The Colutta philosophy combines old-world techniques with new-world technology, melding craft and modern-day sustainability in both the vineyard and the winery.
