At the foot of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains, nature is at once graceful and fierce. Early Mountain wines are made here through a combination of ingenuity and true grit. Winemaker Ben Jordan (the artisan behind Lightwell Survey) oversees all aspects of winemaking, vineyards and production at Early Mountain. A native Virginian who began his winemaking career in Sonoma County, Ben previously held the position of GM and Winemaker with Michael Shaps Wineworks. Ben is at the forefront of sustainable and creative winemaking in Virginia. From classic Bordeaux blends in the cellars of Early Mountain, to Chinato-style aromatized wine, Ben is single-handedly shifting the face of Virginia wine country.

Fermented and barrel aged 9 months in barrel, both neutral accacia and French Oak, and stainless steel.
