About Domaine Brocourt
Located in the heart of the Chinon appellation, Philippe Brocourt tends 32 hectares of vines spread over 5 villages. Philippe took over the estate from his father in 1986. The vineyard stands on gravel plains, clay-siliceous ridges and clay-limestone slopes, farmed using sustainable viticulture methods. Philippe's best vintages come from his oldest plots. Many are situated on a combination of dense clay and limestone soils, calling for extensive barrel aging to tame their inherently assertive structure. His vintages are a balance of tannin and architecture, very food-friendly and age-worthy.
