Fresh, hand-harvested eggs from happy, sustainably-raised hens. Chicken eggs are highly variable in their production, and we get our eggs from a few small family homesteads.
You may find eggs from Wadel's Farm, Horsefields Farm, or Long Stone Farm (all in Virginia), or occasionally from Green Meadows Farm or Franklin Sustainable Farms in Pennsylvania.
No matter where we source our eggs, we always ensure the same requirements are met: happy hens with ample access to open pasture and socialization, non-GMO feed in addition to wild insects and forage, and an inclusively sustainable farm environment.
About Various Farms
About Various Farms
Green Meadows is a small, off-the-grid farm located in Gap, PA. Not only do they produce eggs, but a wide variety of vegetables as well. They sell most of their veggies to local restaurants, but when it comes to eggs, they collaborate with Franklin Sustainable Farms, a cooperative of Amish farmers, to bring their eggs to market. The chickens roam free on the farm and have a hen house to return to at night, protecting them from predators. After the hens stop producing, they continue to live out their lives peacefully on the farm. The farm itself uses a combination of organic and sustainable practices to tend their veggies and animals. The main focus is on appropriate technology with lowest impact inputs.
