Fresh and bright, this is a classic example of Beaujolais accessibility, with gentle tannins and tart red fruit. Floral aromatics lead on the nose, while the palate is surprisingly structured. Shows best when served at cellar temperature or with a very slight chill.

About Domaine Celine et Nicolas Hirsch

Originally from Alsace, Celine and Nicolas Hirsch worked together in the Languedoc, but when they went in search of somewhere to settle permanently they wanted a place where “the terroir spoke a little louder than the sun.” They found their place in the Beaujolais, where they bought in Chenas in 2011. Most of their vineyards are in Chenas, but they have some plots in Moulin a Vent and Julienas as well. Their wines are serious yet easy-drinking, meant to be enjoyed on their own or with food. All of their wines are crafted with minimal intervention, eschewing modern chemical inputs and excessive sulfur applications.
