Traminette is a hybrid grape variety with European (Vitis vinifera) and North American parentage. In this case, the cross is between Gewürztraminer and Joannes Seyve 23.416. The result is an aromatic, floral grape with the spicy, tropical notes of its Gewürzt parent, combined with the disease resistance of the Joannes Seyve. It's made into both dry and off-dry styles, where its distinctive fruity character is allowed to shine.
