Shrubby heat meets tropical pineapple in this spicy take on a margarita. Mother Shrub's Blood Orange Hot Honey brings just enough sweetness to keep its twang balanced. Bitters add a little background complexity.
Ingredients
- ¾ oz Tequila Joven
- ¾ oz Mezcal
- ¾ oz Mother Shrub Blood Orange Hot Honey Shrub
- ¾ oz lime juice
- 1¼ oz pineapple juice
- 2 dashes Artemisia Oak Bitters
- 1 dash Eleven Madison Home Citrus & Sarsaparilla Bitters
- Lime wheel, for garnish
Preparation
- Combine everything in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until very cold.
- Strain into a rocks glass and garnish with the lime wheel.
